Our Accomplishments
Since 2005, the Foundation has achieved notable milestones:
- Provided an annual “summer camp” outdoor learning experience to over 500 young people and adults from all over the U.S.
- Provided two college scholarships per year for students to study conservation or wildlife management.
- Partnered with Montana State University to create a nine station computerized program to monitor water quality in the Jack Creek basin with local students.
- Built a 3-D archery range used by Preserve visitors.
- Engaged numerous volunteers from conservation organizations and the community who help with summer camp and other programs.
- Initiated an innovative weed spraying and bio-treatment program to benefit the Preserve and the surrounding Wilderness Area.
- Provided bowhunting opportunities to young people and wounded U.S. vets who served in Afghanistan and Iraq.
- Made two cabins in the heart of the Preserve available to eligible families for overnight stays.
