Archers check out their success with a 3D target on the archery range
Thanks to our generous friends at Shedhorn Sports in Ennis, MT, the Jack Creek Preserve hosts a terrific 3D Archery Range.
The archery range is open Saturdays and Sundays from 8am to 8pm and Tuesdays from 5-9pm during July and August. The range will be closed the weekend of July 16-17 for Youth Camp.
To use the course, it is necessary to agree to use rules, sign a road waiver, and pick up a permission card, so plan ahead! In Ennis, go to Shedhorn Sports (406-682-4210). In Big Sky, go to East Slope Outdoors (406-995-4369) or the Jack Creek Preserve Foundation office (406-995-7550).
There are 12 targets on the range, including local wildlife like deer, elk, bear and lion. The targets are arranged in life-like stances and the course challenges participants with a variety of shooting situations.
The 3D range is open for the public, but is also used for special events like the summer youth camp and a women's archery clinic. To learn more about events like these, contact us.
