Bear Camp at the Preserve
There are two cabins on the Preserve: Elk Camp and Bear Camp. Elk Camp is located in the northern part of the property and has expansive views of Lone Mountain, Fan Mountain, and Cedar Mountain in the distance. Bear Camp is located at the southwestern edge of the property, at its highest elevation on the slopes of Fan Mountain. Both cabins are rustic log structures with cooking and sleeping spaces. There is no running water or electricity at either cabin.
The Jack Creek Preserve Foundation offers these cabins as part of their fundraising efforts by selling hunting packages at conventions, auctions, etc. Proceeds for the donated packages are split between the event hosts and the Foundation.
The cabins are also offered to wounded veterans who served in Iraq or Afghanistan. For more information, see our Veteran Hunt page.
