CONSERVATION STATUS & LIFE HISTORY OF ANTARTICA'S WEDDELL SEAL: INSIGHTS FROM 40 YEARS OF STUDY
Dr. Jay Rotella will describe insights gained from 40 years of studying earth’s southernmost mammal: Antarctica’s Weddell seal. The breeding population in the Ross Sea’s Erebus Bay has been intensively monitored and much has been learned about the status of the population and the lives of individual animals that live in the most pristine marine environment on earth.
