Jacob Zimmerer, a PhD student from Montana State University will host a plant identification and foraging walk at the Preserve’s Outdoor Education Center on July 13, 2023, beginning at 6:00 PM. “The mission of Rooted Lifeways is to provide decolonial education that helps people develop place-based, reciprocal, and balanced relationships. We believe practices such as hunting, scavenging, fishing, foraging, gardening, seed-saving, cooking, hide tanning, and earth-building can teach us all about how to live as better relatives within the web of relations.”
