Jack Creek Preserve Foundation and the 4,500 acres that make up the Preserve are primarily located on the homelands of the Salish, Shoshone-Bannock, Apsáalooke (Crow), Tséstho’e (Cheyenne), Niitsitapi (Blackfoot), Cayuse, Umatilla and Walla Walla tribes.

We acknowledge these peoples as the original inhabitants and stewards of this place, we honor their continuing relationship with this land, and express our gratitude for their past, present and future roles as caretakers of these lands.
